Designer Eleonora Nieuwenhuizen creates wow effect with her Mandala templates

Designer Eleonora Nieuwenhuizen makes Mandala templates, intended as wall decor for everyone's home. She found inspiration for this during her long travels through Bhutan, India, and Tibet. "During my many trips to these countries, I was inspired by the residents who make beautiful Mandala drawings all day with sand. At the end of the day, they wipe them away again. I thought that was a shame. That is why the idea of stenciling is that has fallen into oblivion, has come into existence, "she explains.

Eleonora has its own children's clothing brand Mimpi. She spent a lot of time in India designing the clothing collections. "There I saw people make Mandala drawings of colored rice on the floor in front of their house during the festivals that are being held there. I thought it was so beautiful and I thought I wanted to do something with it. That's why I started last year with making 3 mm PVC templates I want to offer young and old the opportunity to create a completely different atmosphere in a room with a relatively inexpensive and simple to apply the template. of their creation. "

Mandala (Sanskrit) comes from Hinduism and means the wheel or great circle and has appeared throughout history and Eastern religions as a symbol of connection and silent meditation. The original Mandalas often contain ancient symbols and gods and were an important tool to enable a person or monk to focus on their meditation.

The so-called Mandala Stencil is made of durable, recyclable plastic, which means that they can be used over and over again. "The template can be attached to the designated area with tape and then painted in any color. This way you can easily create a true work of art," says Eleonora. With wall paint or concrete paint, the templates can also be used outdoors.

The templates are easy to clean and can thus be stored until the next use. The strength of the material also ensures that the Mandala Stencils always retain the correct shape and do not tear. The flexibility of plastic Mandala Stencils means that they can be used on almost any surface, even in the corners and edges.

The Mandala templates are offered in a variety of romantic and comfortable themes such as Yoga Mandala, Tibet Mandala, Mystery, Holy and the Doily Ibiza. Each model creates a different atmosphere in the room, the templates are available in different sizes.
